Privacy Policy

How ALPs Aquatics collects, uses, and protects your personal information.

Last updated: June 2026

Who we are

ALPs Aquatics (the Association of Lakeshore Pools) operates this website to share information about our member clubs and summer aquatic programs across the Greater Montreal Area. In this policy, “we” and “our” refer to ALPs Aquatics.

Information we collect

Contact form: when you send us a message, we collect the name, email address, and any details you choose to include so we can respond.

Analytics: with your consent, we use PostHog to understand how the site is used — pages viewed and interactions such as clicks (autocapture). This relies on cookies and a randomly generated visitor identifier. If you do not consent, no analytics cookies are set and PostHog does not load.

How we use your information

We use the information you provide solely to respond to your enquiries and to improve the website. We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.

Cookies

Strictly necessary cookies keep the site working and do not require consent: ALPS_AQUATICS_LOCALE remembers your language preference, and authentication cookies keep administrators signed in.

ALPS_AQUATICS_CONSENT records your analytics choice so we don't ask again.

Analytics cookies (PostHog ph_* cookies) are set only after you accept. You can decline, or withdraw your consent at any time using “Cookie preferences” in the footer — this stops analytics and clears those cookies.

Service providers & international data transfers

We rely on a small number of trusted providers to run the site: Convex (database), Amazon Web Services (hosting), and PostHog (analytics). These providers process data only on our behalf.

These services store and process data on servers located in the United States. By using this site — and, for analytics, by accepting cookies — your information is transferred to and processed in the United States, outside Quebec and Canada.

Data retention

Contact submissions are kept only as long as needed to handle your request, after which they are deleted. Analytics data is retained by PostHog for usage reporting and is not used to identify you.

Your rights

Under Quebec's Law 25 and Canada's PIPEDA you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you may withdraw your consent to analytics at any time. To make a request, email info@alpsaquatics.ca.
